Description
Saku Suurhall is a famous and one of the largest concert and sports halls in Tallinn and Estonia. The location is located in the Haabersti district, not far from the famous large shopping center Rocca-al-Mare. The original idea was to build a purely sports complex, but over time the premises were equipped for concerts. It must be admitted that the latter fact was also facilitated by Estonia's victory in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The opening of this concert and sports complex took place in 2001. The debut performance in the arena was the Irish dance show Lord Of The Dance. And the following year, the 47th Eurovision Song Contest was held here. The venue has also hosted such famous performers as Rammstein, Scorpions, Limp Bizkit, Depeche Mode, Nazareth, DDT, Zemfira and many others.
The full capacity of Saku Suurhall is 10,000 spectator seats. For the level of technological and technical equipment, the complex is a member of a separate association of European arenas, which unites various sports and concert complexes of the highest class that meet international quality standards.
There is a huge paid parking lot in front of the Saku Suurhall building. Payment for a parking space is made by sending an SMS message to the number on the board at the entrance. Also nearby is a large free parking lot of a shopping center, usually empty in the evening.
